In 2002, I composed a two-act musical that explores the meteoric public life and the personal struggles of America’s most cherished aviatrix, Amelia Earhart.
"It's a great story told on a grand scale!"

Aviatrix The Musical is based on the life story of Amelia Earhart, one of the most famous and enigmatic women in history. It is a story about a woman's struggle to maintain her sense of purpose and spirit of adventure amidst the pressures and expectations of a highly celebrated and public life.
Amelia Earhart's innate passion for adventure made her a celebrity. As reluctant as she was to accept her fame, she used it to help create greater opportunities for herself and other women. Fueled by her ambitious and fearless nature, the pressures of fame to accomplish more, and a desire to promote a larger role for women in society, she drove herself to achievements never seen before her time.
